Free topic

Hi everyone!     This blog is a free topic, so I decided to talk about a trip that I'm very excited about and hope to do soon. The trip in essence is to be able to do the 4 day trekking in Cerro Castillo. The Cerro Castillo Park is an emblematic place in the Aysén region that is generally visited by locals and tourists, but it's usually appreciated only from afar. The name isn't difficult to explain, because if you look at the hill you realize that it really looks like a castle made of rock. Within the park there are several trails, some shorter that others, where the longest one last 4 days and cover about 51 kilometers that one walks through trails in some cases very challenging. On the trails there are different restring places that are enabled for camping and have basic services, which is an advance because in many other places you camp in the middle of nowhere. The park is about an hour and half from Coyhaique, so getting there isn't that difficult because that go...

Time travel to the past

Hello everyone! In today's blog I will talk about the era I would like travel to, if I could travel back in time. For a class I had to do a paper on the social context that the country lived in the early 20th century, a period whit great influence of the United States and I researched about "The Roaring Twenties" and the "American Way of Life". As I did the work and read more about these years, I couldn't stop thinking about how much fun it would have been to live in the United States at that time. I would like to have live that, because of the way of life, because of rhe economic abundance that the end of the First World War left in the country. It was a decade of many social and cultural advance, mass production was encouraged, the development of the film industry and the great feminist movement that originated the historical context of the moment, is very interesting and I find it very entertaining to have lived. However, I think I would have liked to tr...

My dream job

Hello everyone! I am in my second year of journalism and I must say that so far I don't regret studying this. I started university last year with many doubts, but as time goes by I am more convinced that I like the career, especially the great job field it offers. A journalism can do many different things, such as: work in a publishing house, media, corporate communication, photography, among many others.  Although there are many areas to which one can dedicate oneself, I am particularly interested in two: the written press and photography. Though, I must admit that my dream job would be photojournalism. I've always liked taking pictures and although I still have a lot to learn, I think it's something I'm good at. I think I'm a creative person who works very well under pressure, which are very important characteristics in photojournalism. And I think it's a very nice specialization, because through images, you can show reality and everyday life to the rest of ...

The best holiday ever

Hello everyone! In this post, I chose to write about the best vacation of my life. In September 2018 with my family I traveled to Puerto Madryn, Argentina. On that occasion, we took advantage of the week off that we were given at school for the national holidays and drove from Coyhaique to Puerto Madryn, touring its surroundings. It was a very entertaining tip, where we visited many places and did many things. This places is a natural reserve in Argentina, located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and is home to a clony of Patagonian penguins, which can be seen in large groups along the trail that runs throught the places.  After spending the afternoon there, we continued on to Puerto Madryn, where we stayed for three days. The purpose of this trip was to go whale watching, which can bee seen during those dates in Peninsula Valdes, specifically in Puerto Piramide, which is located a few kilometres from Madryn. On that date, the whales are close to the coast to reproduce...

Blog 1: A country I would like to visit

Hi everybody! In this publication, I am going to talk about a country that I would to visit. The country I want to refer to is Italy, because although I consider it very interesting to have the opportunity to know several countries in Europe, Italy is certainly a country that I don't want to leave aside. To begin with, I am very attracted by its landscapes and the geographic place in which it's located, since it's a peninsula surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, high and abundant mountains and hills, besides having many coastal towns. Not to mention the two large islands belong to the country.                                                                                           One of the cities that amazes me the most, is Venice, which is characteris...

Career related website

Hello everyone! Today I am going to talk about the website that I enjoy visiting because it is closely related whit my career and that we are expected to know in order to study it. I study journalism, and at the time of studying it, there are not large number of subjects that we are asked to handle, even in some areas there are no subjects as such to pass.  However, there is something that is very important know, the information and news. Is for this I enjoy visiting La Tercera website. Is not the most objective media that exists in Chile, but is the very good media for information. The website is quite simple, it has different sections where anyone can enter and get information about the topic that interest for the person. Moreover, the text are written in a well structured way, which allows readers to understand the news easily.  It is good website, that is why I check it very often, maybe not every day as I shoud but at least four times a week.  https://www.later...

New challenges of education

Hello everyone!! The truth is, I personally don't miss school, not because I had a bad time there, but because I really enjoy college and that I am studying. But if I had to say if I missed something about the school, I would mention the uniform, because although I like to dress as I want, it is difficult to have to choose what to wear every day. In school I didn't like all the subjects, there were many that I considered very boring or I did poorly in them. But one subject that I miss, because I liked it a lot was history, I did very well and I enjoyed learning different things about chilean and universal history. In general I like to study and I really like to study journalism, and in the future I would like to specialize or acquire new knowledge in the other disciplines of the social sciences. So I would continue studying after graduating, althoughI would wait a few years to do so. I like studying at the university because the classes are usually very practical, and the profe...
